I GOT IT!!! I GOT IT!!!
This is my new computer. I have officially given Microsoft the finger and am very happy using eeebuntu, a version of Linux designed for these computers. It's much better than the operating system that came on the computer, and once I figured out how to boot from a flash drive, everything was incredibly easy. I have so much more space on this tiny hard drive (4 gig) and I have a real desktop!!
The pluses? I can do anything I could before! And now I can take it anywhere. This thing is so portable, it's scary!
The downsides? The keyboard is taking a LOT of getting used to, as is learning how Linux is organized. This is fine, though. I wanted to learn more about Linux, and this is just the kick I needed to do it.
It's definitely not for everyone, but I'm having myself a damn good time!!
